However, an exciting list of films and series is set to release from August 19 to August 25. From Angry Young Men to Uorfi Javed’s Follow Kar Lo Yaar, you’ll surely have a lot to binge-watch. Alien Romulus (Theatres)

Directed by Fede Álvarez, it features Cailee Spaeny, Archie Renaux, Aileen Wu and David Jonsson in lead roles. The story revolves around travellers in space who encounter the scariest life-form in the universe when they search through the depths of an abandoned space station. It will be released on August 23, 2024.

The Crow (Theatres)

On the night before his wedding, musician Eric Draven and his fiancée were tragically killed by a violent gang. A year later, Eric comes back from the dead as the Crow. He hunts down the gang members who hurt him and seeks revenge. Eric faces the gang leader, Top Dollar, to finish his mission. Starring Bill Skarsgård, FKA twigs, and Danny Huston in pivotal roles, it will be released on August 23.

Directed by Saiju Sreedharan, it’s a thriller film about a couple who get caught up in mysterious events. Starring Manju Warrier, Gayathri Ashok and Vishak Nair in leading roles, the film will hit the theatres on August 23.

Angry Young Men (Prime Video)

This Namrata directorial is a documentary showing the journey of the renowned writer duo Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar and how they created amazing stories together. Produced by Salman Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Media and Entertainment and Zoya Akhtar’s Tiger Baby, it is available to watch on Prime Video from August 20.

Kalki 2898 AD (Netflix)

The wait is over! Finally, the blockbuster, Kalki 2898 AD is on OTT. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the story is about a superhero version of the Hindu god Vishnu who has come to Earth to keep the world safe and protect it from evil forces. Starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan in lead roles, it will be released on OTT on August 22.

Raayan  (Prime Video)

If you love revenge dramas, here’s something for you! When his family is murdered, a young man prepares to seek revenge. He searches for the ones behind it and gets involved in the world of criminals. Starring Dhanush, and Dushara Vijayan in the main roles, it will be released on OTT on August 23.

Follow Kar Lo Yaar (Prime Video)

Well, we are all aware of Uorfi Javed and her unique sense of style. To delve deeper into her life, here she comes with Follow Kar Lo Yaar. The show will reveal the real and honest story of Uorfi’s life beyond social media. Focusing on her tough path and her journey to stardom, it will premiere on August 23.

Pachinko Season 2 (Apple TV+)

Pachinko fans assemble! Season 2 starring Lee Min-ho, Jung Eun-chae, Steve Sanghyun Noh, Jin Ha, and Yuh-jung Youn will be released on August 23. The story is about Solomon facing a tough choice between his ambition and his grandmother Sunja’s wishes.

The Frog  (Netflix)

The Frog is a mysterious thriller that connects the stories of two older people at different times. Gu Sang Jun played by Yoon Kye Sang manages a motel in the countryside in 2000, while Jeon Young Ha played by Kim Yun Seok runs a guesthouse in a forest in 2021. It also stars Go Min-si and will be released on August 23.

In The Land Of Saints And Sinners (Lionsgate Play)

Directed by Robert Lorenz, the story is about a former assassin, Finbar Murphy, who tries to start fresh in a calm Irish coastal town, away from the country’s turmoil. However, trouble arises when dangerous terrorists arrive, and Finbar learns one of them is harming a local girl. Caught in a dangerous situation, he faces a tough choice which is to reveal his past or protect his loved ones. It will be available to watch from August 23.

Blood For Dust (Disney+ Hotstar)

Cliff, a struggling salesman, partners with Ricky to run cocaine across Montana, escaping his family’s burden and preserving his fragile home life. Directed by Rod Blackhurst, it will be released on August 23.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie (Netflix)

A new villain sets their sights on the Sailor Guardians, putting an end to the hard-earned peace they had secured. It brings chaos and challenges to the Guardians, threatening the peace they had fought so hard to maintain. As the Guardians face this new threat, they must unite their strengths and courage to overcome this latest challenge and protect it. It will be released on August 22.
