From the much-awaited Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao to the Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu starrer, Khel Khel Mein, this week has some interesting sets of films to add to your watch list. Which one are you looking most forward to?

1. Stree 2 (Theatres)

Directed by Amar Kaushik, the much-awaited sequel of Stree will finally hit the theatres on August 15. This part goes deeper into the spooky stuff and focuses on the town of Chanderi where strange things are happening again. This time, there’s a new headless monster named Sarkate causing fear by kidnapping women in the town. Stree 2 features Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and the much-loved trio.

2. Khel Khel Mein (Theatres)

Starring Akshay Kumar, Taapee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk and others. The story revolves follows the hilarious situation of realizing that their friends and partners are just strangers in disguise, hiding behind a web of lies. Well, this can be uncovered through a single game. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, it will be released on August 15, 2024.

3. Vedaa (Theatres)

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, it stars John Abraham, Sharvari and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles. The story follows a brave young lady who courageously battles against a system that unfairly labels her as a villain. Will she be able to do it? Find out on August 15.

4. Shekhar Home (JioCinema)

Lonpur is facing a string of murders where each victim has the letter ‘U’ carved on their arm. Jayvrat and Shekhar team up to catch the criminal. This inspires them to open a detective agency to solve more cases. Directed by Rohan Sippy it stars Kay Kay Menon, Ranvir Shorey and Rasika Dugal in lead roles.

5. Chamak – The Conclusion (SonyLiv)

In the part, Kaala, played by Paramvir Singh Cheema, sets off on a strong mission to seek revenge after he discovers the truth behind his father’s death. It’s a musical thriller directed by Rohit Jugraj. Starring Manoj Pahwa, Akasa Singh, Mohit Malik, Suvinder Vicky, Mukesh Chhabra, Prince Kanwaljeet Singh and others in pivotal roles, it will be released on August 16.

6. Naam Namak Nishan (Amazon miniTV)

Directed by Vikram Ghai and Shashank Bharadwaj it features Varun Sood and Danish Sood in lead roles. We can witness the growth of Yuvraj and Gurbaz as they transform from rookies to soldiers. Naam Namak Nishan will be released on August 14.

7. Darling (Disney+Hotstar)

It’s here and in this part, Emily is facing the circumstances of Camille and Gabriel’s wedding disaster. Things take a turn when Camille reveals during the ceremony that Gabriel has always loved Emily. Directed by Andrew Fleming, it will be released on August 15, 2024.

9. Jackpot (Amazon Prime Video)

Well, now you can see him. In the future, California will conduct a grand lottery where the winner has to be taken out before sunset to get the huge jackpot legally. It’s like something out of a wild movie. Starring John Cena and Simu Liu, it will be released on August 15.

When aliens attack New York City, a woman with her cat among other survivors must stay silent to avoid getting caught by the creatures who are attracted to noise. What happens if someone makes noise? Death! Directed by Michael Sarnoski, it stars Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn in lead roles. This thrilling film is available to rent on Amazon prime and will be available on other platforms later.

11. Bad Monkey (Apple TV+)

Directed by Marcos Siega, it will be released on August 14. Well, the story is about a detective who gets kicked out of the Miami police and ends up checking restaurants in the Florida Keys. Now, he has a chance to get back on the force if he can handle a bunch of strange characters and a troublesome monkey.

12. Love Next Door (Netflix)

Our lists are incomplete without a sweet Korean drama. Directed by Yoo Je-Won, it showcases Jung Hae In and Jung So Min playing the lead roles. The story is about a woman who tries to start fresh as she goes back to Korea and gets mixed up with her old friend from childhood. Well, she has a tricky past with her childhood friend.
