From biographical dramas like Amar Singh Chamkila and Maidaan to the action-packed film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, with sci-fi, horror, and crime, it’s safe to say that this week has something for everyone! So without further ado, let’s look at all the OTT and theatre releases this week of April 8 to April 14!

1. Amar Singh Chamkila (Netflix)

Starring the very talented Diljit Dosanjh alongside Parineeti Chopra, and directed by Imtiaz Ali, this is a biographical drama on the life of the famous singer Amar Singh Chamkila, played by Diljit. The film is set in the backdrop of Punjab in the 80s and promises to give you a heart-touching experience. Amar Singh Chamkila is set to release on Netflix on April 12.

2. Premalu (Disney+ Hotstar)

A Malayalam romance drama many have been waiting for, Premalu is directed by Girish A.D starring Mamitha, Naslen, Shyam Mohan and more. The movie was supposed to come out online a week ago, but because the Tamil and Telugu versions are still doing so well in theatres, the release was postponed. Now the film is set to release on April 12 on Disney+ Hotstar.

3. Stolen (Netflix)

Stolen is a thriller drama directed by Elle Márjá Eira, which is a film based on true events. The story centres around a young Sami woman who sets off on a journey of revenge, to find a killer. This thriller drama releases on Netflix on April 12.

4. Fallout (Prime Video)

Fallout is a drama series, set in the future Los Angeles destroyed by a nuclear accident. This series follows the lives of the survivors finding their way through this world inhabited by mutants. This series is set to release on the OTT Prime Video on April 12.

5. Love, Divided (Netflix)

The Spanish film Love, Divided is an emotional story of love and sacrifice set against the backdrop of a society torn apart by prejudice and division. Set to release on Netflix on April 12, this film revolves around the themes of love, relationships and its complexities.

7. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (Theatres)

Starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chillar, Alaya F and more, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is an action thriller that revolves around the story of two soldiers as they team up to save India from a masked madman. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, this action film is set to release in the theatres on April 11 in theatres.

8. Maidaan (Theatres)

Maidaan is a biographical sports drama directed by Amit Sharma starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Keerthy Suresh and more. This biographical drama is an inspiring story of Syed Abdul Rahim, a football coach who leads an underdog team to victory against all odds and releases in the theatres on April 10.

9. Aavesham (Theatres)

Aavesham is a Malayalam action drama starring Fahadh Faasil, Sajin Gopu and more that revolves around the story of three teenagers as they find themselves in the world of gangsters. This movie is set to release in theatres on April 11.

10. What Jennifer Did (Netflix)

What Jennifer Did is a crime documentary based on the real case of Jennifer Pan, who reports a home invasion and then happens to be the main subject of the crime case. The series is based on a case that made the national headlines. This docu-series releases on Netflix on April 10.

11. Hightown Season 3 (Lionsgate Play)

The third season of Hightown is a drama series that revolves around the story of an alcoholic federal officer who finds herself in a crime case. Hightown season 3 releases on Lionsgate Play on April 12.
