What To Watch This Week Of April 3 To April 9
1. Gumraah (Theatres)
Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Mrunal Thakur and Ronit Roy, Gumraah is a remake of the 2019 Tamil crime thriller film Thadam. Directed by Vardhan Ketkar, this film features Aditya Roy Kapur in a dual role! The film hits the theatres on April 7.
2. A Simple Lie (Netflix)
This Nigerian romantic-comedy film revolves around a group of friends who are having secret affairs within the group and are cheating on each other with others from the group. But their small and simple lies are revealed when one friend from the group is diagnosed with a terminal illness. This film releases on the OTT giant Netflix on April 7.
3. Jubliee (Prime Video)
Set in the backdrop of Bombay film industry in the 1950s, this period drama series stars Aditi Rao Hydari, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Aparshakti Khurana, Ram Kapoor, Wamiqa Gabbi and Sidhant Gupta. This series will premiere on the OTT platform Prime Video on April 7.
4. The Lost King (Theatres)
This 2022 British comedy-drama film is based on the book The King’s Grave: The Search for Richard III. Directed by Stephen Frears, this film is set to hit theatres across India on April 7.

5. IRL: In Real Love (Netflix)
Hosted by Gauahar Khan and Rannvijay Singha, IRL: In Real Love is a dating reality show. In this show, 4 singles will connect and seek love online and in real life after which they will have to choose which connections they want to go with. This reality show will premiere on Netflix on April 6.
6. Beef (Netflix)
Starring Ali Wong, Steven Yeun, David Choe and Young Mazino, this comedy-drama series revolves around 2 people involved in a road rage incident. It releases on the OTT platform Netflix on April 6.
7. August 16, 1947 (Theatres)
Written and directed by NS Ponkumar, this period drama starring Gautham Karthik, Pugazh and Richard Ashton. The film follows the tale of a man who battles the British forces a day after the Independence.
8. Chupa (Netflix)
Directed by Jonás Cuarón, this fantasy adventure drama starring Demián Bichir and Christian Slater will be available for streaming on Netflix from April 7.
9. Pentagon (Theatres)
This Kannada film is an anthology of 5 short stories directed by 5 directors. The theme of the film is based on death and all stories are connected to a book. It hits the theatres on April 7.

10. The Crossover (Disney+ Hotstar)
Created by Kwame Alexander, this sports drama series is based on novel on the same name written by Kwame. The show will be available for streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from April 5 onwards.
11. The Super Mario Bros. Movie (Theatres)
This animated adventure film is based on Nintendo’s video game franchise, Mario. Produced by Universal Pictures, Nintendo and Illumination, this film hits the theatres across India on April 7.
12. Oh Belinda (Netflix)
Directed by Deniz Yorulmazer, this film revolves around a young actor whose life takes a crazy turn after she gets transported to the world of the character she plays in a commercial. This film is set to release on the OTT platform Netflix on April 7.
13. Ravanasura (Theatre)
Written by Srikanth Vissa, this Telugu-language psychological action thriller starring Ravi Teja is set to hit the big screens across India on April 7.
14. Transatlantic (Netflix)
This seven-episode miniseries starring Gillian Jacobs is based on the book ‘The Flight Portfolio’ which is based on the real story of the Emergency Rescue Committee. Created by Anna Winger and Daniel Hendler, this series will stream on Netflix from April 7 onwards.
