It’s been quite a year for Hindi Cinema, with a mixed bag of good and bad films. There are some much-awaited releases in 2026, and one of them is Salman Khan’s Battle Of Galwan. The teaser was dropped on the actor’s 60th birthday. But there is also Alia Bhatt’s spy thriller Alpha that’s on the most-awaited list, and there are reports that the release of this film has been postponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s film. And here’s what we know about it.
Has The Film Been Postponed?
The teaser for Battle Of Galwan was dropped on December 27, which also marks Salman Khan’s 60th birthday. The actor will be seen in the role of an Indian Army officer, and according to the teaser, the film’s release date is April 17, 2026, which was also the initial release date for Alia Bhatt’s YRF Spy thriller Alpha. However, as per a report by Taran Adarsh, the film has supposedly been postponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s film, and producer Aditya Chopra is considering to postpone the film.
While there are no official confirmations on this report as of now, however, a release date would soon be finalised as per the reports. Also, Alpha was initially scheduled to release in December 2025 but that was postponed due to some pending technicalities, and the April release also looks dicey at this point time.

For the unversed, Alia Bhatt’s also stars Sharvari. Shiv Rawail is directing the film which will also feature Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol. On the other hand, Apoorva Lakhia is the director of Battle Of Galwan. It will also star Chitrangda Singh in pivotal role.
