Model and viral girl Rhiya Ahir from the NEET-UG protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar has been in the headlines again after it was announced that she would be entering Bigg Boss 20. For the unversed, she first grabbed attention after a picture of her holding back a van carrying protestors from the CJP protest went viral. Among the few confirmed contestants in Bigg Boss 20, Rhiya Ahir became one of the most talked about. This is because the show is infamous for having controversial participants and publicity-seeking stunts. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, she was asked about the same and said that she had always been a curious person. And that she used to watch Bigg Boss with her mother and sister. Rhiya said that she had always wondered how the show was managed and how it worked with so many people inside one house. The 27-year-old also admitted to getting hate for this decision and revealed that many people thought she was doing this for fame. But said that she wanted people to see her entertaining side as well.

Apart from this, Ahir also has a huge following on Instagram of over three lakh followers and has also made an appearance in many music videos. She recently featured in a song called Dilbara. Rhiya is also an entrepreneur and is the founder of Rhiyasat, which is a luxury handcrafted apparel brand that works with Indian artisans and promotes clothes that are locally made.
