On December 2, Monday, Vikrant Massey announced his retirement from acting at the age of just 37. The news left fans heartbroken and shocked. Many people hoped that it was just a false rumour, while others supported his decision. However, The Sabarmati Report actor has issued a clarification about his decision to take a break from films.
What Did Vikrant Massey Say?
Vikrant Massey left everyone thinking about his decision to leave acting after delivering back-to-back hits. In his post, he thanked fans for supporting him and announced that he would quit films to go back home. However, in his recent interview with News18 Showsha, Vikrant ended all the assumptions by stating that he was not exactly retiring but only taking a long break from films. The actor further stated that he needed to focus on health and family and that he was burned out. Vikrant also added that people misread his announcement post.
Many of his industry friends also expressed shock at his retirement news. Harshardhan Rane hoped for it to be some PR gimmick. But well, with Vikrant’s recent statement, it’s clear that the actor will be seen in films but maybe, we will have to wait for that a little till he comes back!
Recently, Vikrant Massey also watched his film The Sabarmati Report with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He was quite happy about the moment and during a media interaction, the actor called it a peak moment in his career.
