After Varun Dhawan, Vijay Varma Asks Media To Leave Malaika Arora’s Grieving Family Alone. It’s High Time!

Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora lost their father Anil Mehta on Wednesday, September 11, allegedly by suicide. This sad news shocked everyone as both his daughters met him the night before it happened. Since the news broke out, paparazzi have been standing outside Malaika Arora’s parents’ residency clicking pictures while celebrities attended the last rites. Actor Vijay Varma has spoken against it and asked the media for grace.

Vijay Varma Slams The Media

On Friday, September 13, actor Vijay Varma took to X (Formerly Twitter) and expressed his disappointment with the media standing outside Malaika Arora’s parents’ house. He wrote, “Pls leave the grieving family alone.. it’s not easy anyway for them. Thoda toh grace rakho media walon.” This was when the family was grieving and performing the last rites while the media was outside the place clicking pictures like it was some award show event. Grieving family members don’t need this on top of everything they’re already dealing with. One should not point cameras at someone who has lost a part of their family.

He took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “It is the most insensitive thing to point cameras in the face of people who are grieving, please. Please consider what you are doing and how it affects those in mourning. I understand it’s your job, but remember that people might not be comfortable with this,” he had added. Dhawan also wrote hashtag humanity in his post.
