Amid the endless speculations, Vijay Thalapathy and Trisha Krishnan were spotted gracing the said wedding reception on Thursday in Chennai. Although many stars from the South Indian film industry were present there, it was this duo that quickly turned everyone’s heads. This appearance marked Vijay and Trisha’s first public sighting together after the infidelity rumours went wild online. The actor donned an ivory-colored ensemble, while the actress opted to go with a matching colored saree with a red blouse.
For the unversed, Vijay and his wife, Sangeetha Sornalingam, tied the knot in 1998. However, trouble in paradise is leading them to end their union. In her divorce plea, Sangeetha alleged finding out in 2021 that he was involved in an extramarital relationship with a female co-star, as per PTI.

Sangeetha Sornalingam also claimed that this caused her a lot of emotional pain and mental suffering, amounting to betrayal and violation of marital trust. She has reportedly requested the right to continue residing in the matrimonial home in Neelankarai until the disposal of the petition or be provided with equivalent stay.
