During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Vicky Kaushal was shown a picture of his interaction with Katrina Kaif at an award function. Recalling this, he said, “So, I was hosting, and I think this was the first time I ever met her and interacted with her. On stage, we have that gear in our ears through which we’re constantly being instructed from behind—like, ‘Do this… do that…’ It keeps guiding you, and everything is scripted.” Kaushal revealed that it was actually behind the stage that they were formally introduced to each other, and said that who knew that they would get married after that.

When asked if he was nervous meeting Kaif for the first time, he refused and director Laxman Utekar said that Chhaava never gets nervous. In addition, he also praised his wife saying that she was very sweet and that he didn’t expect for her to be aware about him. On December 9, 2021, in an intimate wedding ceremony in Rajasthan, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif tied the knot after maintaining a low-key relationship.
