The Divine Fury Star Ahn Sung Ki Dies At 74, Film Fraternity To Hold A Funeral

A few days back, the news of veteran star Ahn Sung Ki being admitted to the hospital made headlines. The actor suffered a sudden cardiac arrest after he was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was admitted to the intensive care ward. However, the unfortunate demise of the actor has now been confirmed. The 74-year-old actor contributed immensely to his craft and a funeral will be organised by the film fraternity. Read for more.
Ahn Sung Ki Passes Away
Ahn Sung Ki began his career as a child actor and went on to do over 130 films. As per the reports, the hospital confirmed the news of his demise, and he passed away on the morning of January 5. Later, his talent management company, Artist Company, also shared an official post on social media. According to the post, he passed away at 9 AM. The company hailed Ahn Sung Ki’s contribution towards shaping the pop culture of Korean cinema through his work. The post further informed that funeral will be held for him and that would be managed by (re)Shin Young-chul Art and Culture Foundation and the Korean Film Actors Association.
Furthermore, the funeral will take place in Seoul, at St. Mary’s Hospital Funeral Hall, Room 31 on January 9, at 6PM. The Artist Company requested everyone to refrain from the coverage of unconfirmed reports. Here’s the post.
