Veteran Actor Dharmendra Admitted To ICU, Put On Ventilator: Reports

In an unfortunate turn of events, veteran actor Dharmendra has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he is reportedly on ventilator support. The soon-to-be 90-year-old actor has been unwell for the past several days and was recently shifted to the ICU after his condition worsened this morning. His family has been visiting the hospital more often since the morning, as per reports. Read to know more details here.

Dharmendra Admitted To The ICU

According to rumours, family members have been visiting the hospital more regularly since early today, but neither the family nor the hospital have issued an official comment. According to people aware of his condition, Dharmendra is being closely monitored and responding to treatment. The actor, affectionately referred to be Bollywood’s original He-Man, was brought to the hospital last week after complaining of breathlessness. In April of this year, he had eye graft surgery.

With a career spanning six decades, Dharmendra is still one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved stars. He made his cinematic debut in 1960 with Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere and went on to give outstanding performances in films such as Bandini, Anupama, Sholay, Chupke Chupke, Mera Gaon Mera Desh, and Dream Girl.

He was last seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which also starred Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon. He was also part of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, starring Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, and Shabana Azmi. His next project, Ikkis, which features Agastya Nanda, is set to be released on December 25. We pray for his speedy recovery and strength to the family.
