The dilemma of choosing which film to watch when two big titles clash on the same day is real! And well, this year, it is happening too often. In July, films like Barbie and Oppenheimer were released on the same date, and the month of August also brings a difficult choice for movie buffs and fans. On August 11, two much-anticipated releases OMG 2 and Gadar 2 had a theatrical release. One of them is led by Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi while the other stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. The OG films for both were a super hit, and therefore audience had high expectations from the second installment too. Some enthusiasts have already watched the films and have shared the verdicts on Twitter. Well, overall, both films have received a mixed response from the viewers.

Ahead of its release, Amit Rai’s OMG 2 was surrounded by controversy when the CBFC board gave an adult rating to the film. Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathy and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 deals with the topic of sex education and it raised curiosity among the fans and audience about the content. Finally, the film is running in the theatres and many people on Twitter have posted their reviews as well. The public was desperately waiting to see Sunny Deol as Tara Singh on the big screen. Gadar: Ek Prem Katha became a blockbuster hit and the audience anticipated Gadar 2’s release with the same excitement. The Anil Sharma directorial stars Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel and Utkarsh Sharma in lead roles. The film is being hailed by Twitter users, especially Sunny Deol. Some viewers gave a balanced review of the movie n which they pointed out a few negatives in the first half and with the writing as well. However, from the reactions, it looks like Gadar 2 did live up to the high expectations that the audience had set, but for some, it did not.
