Trisha Krishnan’s Sharp Reply To Parthiban’s Comment After Public Appearance With Vijay
Trisha did not like Parthiban's comments about her at an award show.
In the latest update on Thalapathy Vijay’s divorce amid allegations of an affair, Trisha Krishnan has responded to a comment made by Parthiban about her. The actress attended a wedding alongside Vijay just as the latter’s wife filed for divorce. With intense backlash on several fronts, Trisha took to social media to hit back at Tamil actor Parthiban’s remark following this appearance. Read more about what Parthiban said and how Krishnan responded to the same.
What Did Parthiban Say About Trisha Krishnan
At a recent awards show honouring Tamil cinema, television, and more, R. Parthiban was asked to speak on his previous co-stars. While he responded well to all of them, Trisha’s photograph seemed to give the actor a pause. Instead of referring to his fellow actor by name, he called her ‘Kundavai’, referring to her famous role in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan duology.
Subtly shading Trisha, he apparently said that ‘Kundavai’ should be at home for a few days. He added that it would be good if she weren’t let out. This was apparently in response to Krishnan’s public outing with Vijay.
Trisha’s Response To R. Parthiban
While Trisha did not call the senior actor out by name, she posted a reply to this retort on X (formerly known as Twitter). The actress said that the event organisers had added her picture at the last minute, per the intimation of “an individual” via his assistant. This implied that Parthiban wanted to make a dig at Krishnan and requested the award show to ensure her name was included. She then said, “A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. ” Adding that it amplifies stupidity, she concluded by saying that “crude” statements reveal more about the one who makes them than the one who listens.
I was informed by the organisers of a recent event that my name and picture were included at the last minute at the request of an individual conveyed through his assistant.
A microphone doesn’t make a comment intelligent or humorous. It just makes stupidity louder.Crude words…— Trish (@trishtrashers) March 8, 2026
R. Parthiban apologised for his comment on X in Tamil, saying he regrets it in hindsight. However, what’s done is done. Netizens have been following the Thalapathy Vijay divorce drama with wife Sangeetha closely.
