Today, since morning, Tom Cruise has been making headlines after it was announced that he would be receiving an honorary award at the Oscars 2025. Tom Cruise, Debbie Allen and Dolly Parton will be presented with the honorary awards at the Oscars 2025, which will be held on November 15, 2025, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom, Ovation Hollywood. These actors will be presented with the prestigious awards at the Oscars for their exceptional work and contribution to acting, filmmaking and cinema overall, as per the Academy President Janet Yang. Also, these three artists will be presented with the  Governors Awards.

Tom Cruise will be honoured for his dedicated and memorable work in front of and behind the camera. His work, stunts, and exceptional filmmaking talents would be celebrated at the Oscars this year.

Choreographer and actor Debbie Allen’s work in both these fields will be honoured at the prestigious Academy Awards. Wynn Thomas, the production designer for movies like A Beautiful Mind, Malcolm X, would also receive the honorary award for his impactful work in the movies. On the other hand, Dolly Parton will be honoured with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award for her selfless and dedicated charitable work.
