After a long run of watching the infamous Lady Whistledown gossip newsletters, endless tricks by Lady Danbury, and of course the ever growing disappointment of Queen Charlotte, Bridgerton has been nothing short of a dream. But while we all are eagerly waiting for the part 2 of season 3, fans have made a lot of theories while dissecting hidden clues.
These juicy Bridgerton theories will have you rewatching the entire show with a different perspective, and will make you question everything you thought you knew about the characters, their motivations, and the secrets of the society. So, settle in with a steaming cup of tea, and prepare to have your diamond-encrusted mind blown by these compelling theories!
1. Is Penelope Featherington The Ultimate Villian?
While we all love our innocent, dear Pen, the news of her being Lady Whistledown made our minds whack and rethink the entire character. From time to time, Penelope has shown us how dangerous her influence can be by making remarks about everyone around her especially her best friend, Eloise. This season she is set to let her feelings for Colin show and we don’t know how that will end if she doesn’t get things her way. But is securing Colin her ultimate goal or did she become Lady Whistledown for another bigger reason?
2. Lord Anderson Might Be Lady Danbury’s Son (Yikes!)
I know, what you might be thinking. This is kind of creepy. But as we have seen in Queen Charlotte, there has come a drift between Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton because of the mild affair Lady Danbury had with the latter’s father. But a lot of fans are speculating that Lord Anderson is actually Lady Danbury’s son who we see in the series Queen Charlotte. But the question that attacks this entire theory is, why would she lie about her son?
3. Eloise Is Queer
This might be the most believable theory ever. Her rebellious nature, her thoughts upon marrying a man, and free spirit might indicate so. In fact, a fan has also written that they have proof she was eyeing some “female servants” in a scene from season one. The fan wrote, “I have read some fan theories that TV show Eloise could end up with Marina instead of that character dying or that Benedict could experiment with bisexuality before his main love interest comes along and I was just wondering what everyone thought!”
4. The Next Lord Featherington Might Be Marina Thompson’s Father
Since the season hasn’t concluded with a new Lord Featherington, and while we do know Philipa Featherington is shown to pregnant, fans believe that Marina Thompson’s father might come and claim the inheritance knowing that Baron Featherington did owe him a lot of money. Now this part wasn’t exactly mentioned in the books but who knows?
5. The Sharma Sisters Might Want More Than Just Suitable Grooms
Kate and Edwina Sharma areloved characters (Well, may not Edwina), but could their arrival in London be more than just finding a groom for Edwina? Some fan theories say that they might be working with Lady Mary Sharma, their mother, to secure a wealthy groom to make way into the society and take revenge from the people who shamed Mary for leaving her life for the person she loved. Was Kate truly in love with Anthony, or was her pursuit part of a calculated scheme?
While there could be endless possibilities for the characters of Bridgerton, these crazy theories only touch the surface. As we eagerly await Season 3 part 2, one thing is certain: the world of high society romance and gossip is far more complex than it appears. So grab your tea, dear reader, and get ready to be surprised!
