Taaruk Raina On Strong Female Characters
On being asked about sharing screen space with strong female characters, Taaruk Raina said, “Sometimes I think that its sad that we have to talk about strong female characters. I think the inherent quality of any female in this world is that they are strong. On a daily basis, look what they have to deal with. Like, there is no non-strong female—there is none. So, of course, I mean, it is always a pleasure working with someone who is playing a strong female character because even to play a strong female character, you have to be a strong female.”

Taaruk Raina further added, “And there’s nothing bigger or stronger than that. I think its the most normal thing. A strong female character is the most normal thing to me. All my life, I have grown up around strong women. They are what kind of keep me going till today. Whether its my family or friends, its actually their world we live in. Women are strong. That is what they are; then there’s everything else.” For the unversed, The Waking of a Nation is directed by Ram Madhvani and will premiere on March 7th.
