The Trial Trailer: Kajol Is Promising As A Lawyer In The Good Wife Remake That Has Big Emmy-Winning Shoes To Fill
But why another remake?

As a law graduate, crime and legal thrillers always pique my interest. From Criminal Minds to How To Get Away With Murder to The Good Wife, there’s nothing that I haven’t binged on. And if there’s anything that I like more than crime and legal thrillers, it’s a crime or legal thriller led by a woman. So, it’s not very surprising that I enjoyed binging on The Good Wife and witnessed a wife spread her wings and fly as she goes back to her career after a long sabbatical due to a personal tragedy. And now, the desi version of The Good Wife titled The Trial led by Kajol is set to hit our screen and the trailer has us all sitting on the edge of our seats.

The public sex scandal and the investigation forces Kajol’s Noyonika Sen Gupta, a housewife of 13 years, to return to her career in law and work as a junior lawyer at a firm to support her family and survive. The trailer shows the woman struggling to balance her career as her husband’s trial begins and she deals with love, loss, lies and law which is nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster as her husband seeks her legal help.
