July has some interesting new content in store for us and that includes the new season of the coming-of-age romantic drama The Summer I Turned Pretty. Yepp, The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 2 is just around the corner. Created by author Jenny Han, this romantic drama based on her novel of the same name, season 2 follows Belly, Conrad and Jeremiah as the romantic triangle gets complicated as tragedy strikes with Susannaah’s cancer returning. Starring Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalengo and Rachel Blanchard among others, the trailer for season 2 is here and guess what? It features the song ‘Back to December (Taylor’s Version) from Taylor Swift’s album Speak Now and the song ‘August’ from the album Folklore.

The trailer opens with Belly recalling the last summer as she wonders if summer will ever be the same again with her childhood friends, Conrad and Jeremiah fall for her and fight over her. On the other hand, tragedy strikes the Fisher household as Susannah’s cancer returns. To makes matters worse, the Fishers plan to sell Susannah’s beloved house but will Belly come up with a solution to save the Summer?

Season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty has a total of 8 episodes of which three will release on Prime Video on July 14 followed by weekly new episodes. The season finale will drop on August 18.
