The Male Feminist: Nupur Sanon Says A Man Should Complement, Not Define A Woman’s Life. Hear Hear!

Do you recall a time when women had to rely solely on men for everything, including basic necessities? Unfortunately, even education was considered a luxury for girls, with parents often prioritizing their sons’ education over their daughters’. Fortunately, actor Nupur Sanon’s experience was vastly different, thanks to her progressive parents who placed great emphasis on education for both her and her sister, Adipurush star Kriti Sanon. In the latest episode of Hauterrfly’s The Male Feminist, Nupur Sanon, who was recently seen on Disney+ Hotstar’s comedy series, Pop Kaun, shared that her mother made it a priority for her and her sister to receive a strong education, ultimately enabling them to become independent and self-sufficient.

Nupur Sanon recently appeared on The Male Feminist and shared an insight into her life as an actress. She spoke candidly about her family’s support for her and her sister Kriti’s decision to pursue acting in Mumbai. Nupur revealed that her parents were open to exploring opportunities and were cool with their decision to move to the city. Nupur’s mother, who is a school teacher, had a strong belief that education is critical for a girl’s success and independence. She instilled this value in her daughters, and it has had a profound impact on their lives.

In addition to emphasizing the importance of education, their mother also taught the Sanon sisters that women should never have to rely on men for their success and happiness. Instead, a man should be an added bonus in a woman’s life. Her mother’s empowering message has had a profound impact on Nupur’s life, enabling her to become an independent and self-sufficient woman who relies on her own abilities to succeed.

Moreover, Nupur’s mother went the extra mile to ensure that her daughters had a backup plan in case their acting careers did not take off. She kept a condition that they needed to appear for the GMAT exam and achieve good grades. This way, they could pursue an MBA if their acting career didn’t work out. In fact, did you know that actor Kriti Sanon has an engineering degree? Yep, she obtained a BTech degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida, before venturing into Bollywood. Now isn’t that great advice from their mommy?

That being said, while education was important for Nupur Sanon’s parents, she reveals that they were kaafi chill and liberal too. Check out her full conversation with The Male Feminist here.
