People generally assume that children whose parents are separated have trouble forming relationships because they have seen the primary relationship between their parents not working out. It is also assumed that the children of a divorced couple also must not be sanskari because they did not have a very positive environment at home. But Alaya F has hit these baseless notions out of the park in the recent episode of The Male Feminist. In a conversation with the host Siddhaarth Aalambayan, Alaya F talked about how she has learnt to be friends with her exes from her parents! She also emphasised how important it is to have clear conversations with partners.
Siddhaarth Aalambayan asked Alaya F if she approached relationships differently because her parents, Pooja Bedi and Farhan Furniturewla, are very good friends despite being divorced. To this, Alaya said, “Main apne saare exes ke sath very good friends hoon. There’s no bad blood anywhere.” She said that she looks at her past relationships with the point of view of having had a good time and made new memories. She said, “This is a vibe I have learnt from my family very nicely.”
Furthermore, Alaya also talked about how she expects open communication in a relationship. She also said that she was allowed to be her confident self at home which wanes her tolerance for things like a man asking her to dress how he likes. The Freddy actor also said that having open communication helps one build healthier relationships.
