Reality show The 50 once again grabbed headlines but this time, it was for a problematic reason. Contestant Adnaan Shaikh asked Sapna Choudhary to behave like a woman during their heated argument in a recent episode! A man telling a woman to behave like one isn’t something new but how do they always think they know better when they have never walked in our shoes? Surprising to say the least. Find out what exactly happened.

What Did The 50’s Adnaan Shaikh Say To Sapna Choudhary?

During The 50’s recent episode, contestants were asked to pick a card by destroying an object to secure their safety. However, celebrities, including Adnaan Shaikh, violated rules by taking more cards. He took 5 cards and distributed them with his friends. Sapna Choudhary noticed it and she called them out for cheating. Soon, Adnaan and Sapna started arguing, during which she verbally abused him. Responding to this, Adaana asked her why she was behaving like men who hurled abuses? He added “Aurat hai, aurat ki tarah reh.” (You are a woman, behave like one.) Sapna responded by saying not to remind her that she is a woman or a man. She also said that he was nothing, adding that she sees men like him every day.

Many netizens pointed out how problematic Adnaan Shaikh’s statements were. Social media users have labelled those statements as patriarchal and misogynistic and we agree with them! It’s time that some men just start minding their own business rather than telling other women how to behave like one.
