The Oscars 2026 have been on everyone’s minds for a while now. With surprise wins and numerous viral incidents, the 98th Academy Awards faced their fair share of internet fame. However for One Battle After Another actress Teyana Taylor, the night will be memorable for a whole other reason. According to sources, she caught a man trying to put her hands on her and blew up at him. Videos of her shouting at the man have gone viral, without context causing her to look like aggressive. Teyana Taylor Goes Off On A Man Trying To Touch Her Inappropriately, Clip Gets Internet Famous
While the actress was backstage, she crossed paths with a man. In the name of herding the large number of people on the way to the main ceremony, he allegedly put his hands on several women, including Teyana Taylor. Telling him off for being a “man putting his hands on a female,” she clearly told him that he was extremely rude for doing so. Having noticed the same person attempting to push another woman, she remarked that he was almost “shoving her too.” Drawing a firm boundary with said man, she ends with a note to not touch, shove, or push her.

Taking place on March 15, 2026, the Oscar night, the incident cast a shadow on the otherwise brilliant night that Taylor was having. While she did not win the award for Best Supporting Actress, One Battle After Another was awarded a total of six Academy Awards.
According to TMZ, the man who was indulging in this behaviour was a security guard. While Teyana implied to the agency that it was no big deal, she said that it was just “that one” even within security. Concluding that she did not “tolerate disrespect” of any kind, she was determined to still have a good time. Supposedly, the incident took place as Teyana Taylor was joining her co-stars for a “Best Picture” photograph. The agency also said that the guard shoved Pam Abdi, who co-heads Warner Bros in a direction away from the stage.
As of publishing, Teyana Taylor or other involved parties have refrained from filing official complaints. It was an unfortunate incident involving one man that could have gone worse than it did. Taylor had the presence of mind to make a lot of noise, however. How sad is it that not even fame can protect a woman from inappropriate conduct!
