Taylor Swift Secures Restraining Order Against Long-Time LA Stalker

Taylor Swift has recently been granted a restraining order against her long-time Los Angeles stalker. A temporary restraining order has been issued against Brian Johnson Wagner, who allegedly made several trips from Colorado to Los Angeles and attempted to break into Taylor Swift’s house starting in July 2024 and most recently in May this year. Brian has also claimed to have lived on the singer’s property and that she is the mother of his son.

Why Did Taylor Swift File A Restraining Order Against Brian Wagner

According to Page Six, in a restraining order filed by Swift on Friday, she said that Wagner has made several false claims about his relationship with Taylor. Her statement read, “I am informed that Mr Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality”.

Taylor Swift also revealed how, on one occasion, the stalker held a glass bottle, which she said could have been used as a weapon. Swift revealed how she began to worry for her family’s safety when Brian visited her house several times. Additionally, according to Taylor’s court complaint against Wagner, her security team discovered that the stalker had previously been incarcerated and had written lengthy letters to her that contained entirely false information about the singer’s personal life.

According to the document, Brian Wagner also allegedly tried to send his mail to Taylor Swift’s home address after figuring out how to put it on his driver’s license. The temporary restraining order granted to Taylor Swift against Brian Wagner is currently in effect and will expire on June 30.

Taylor Swift’s Encounter With Previous Stalkers

Over the years, Swift has dealt with a lot of stalkers. After making many calls to Swift’s management business and breaking into her Tribeca apartment building, 29-year-old Mohammed Jaffar was admitted to a mental health facility in New York in 2017.

Roger Alvarado broke into Swift’s house in 2018, took her shower, and slept in her bed. He was imprisoned for nine months before receiving a harsher sentence for a subsequent break-in. Julius Sandrock was taken into custody the same year after driving almost 1,000 miles to Swift’s house with gloves, rope, a knife, and ammo that had been discovered in his vehicle.
