The singer is garnering much love for her new songs as she gets engaged to the love of her life, Travis Kelce, at the same time. And while fans started decoding the easter eggs as soon as the album dropped, all we wanted to know was which songs the singer wrote for her beau. And here’s the official list! Read to know more!
Taylor Swift Songs For Travis Kelce
1. ‘The Fate of Ophelia’
Taylor Swift seemingly sang about how Travis Kelce swooped into her life and made the first move. From “I heard you calling / On the megaphone / You wanna see me all alone,” to “And if you’d never come for me / I might’ve drowned in the melancholy,” everything screamed about their new love. Kelce even admitted in July 2023 that he tried giving Swift her number via a friendship bracelet at the Kansas City, MO, which was the stop of her Eras Tour. And despite failing to meet her, he never gave up.
She finally agreed to go on a date with him after many people put in a good word to her about the athlete. The song implies that his shot eventually saved her heart from the fate of Ophelia, a character from Shakespeare’s famous ‘Hamlet’ tragedy.
2. ‘Opalite’
Swifties had immediately speculated that ‘Opalite’ could be a reference to Travis Kelce. As he was born on October 5, 1989, his astrological sign is Libra, and his birthstones are opal and tourmaline. So, the track follows the story of someone who ‘had a habit’ of getting into relationships that were never going to last, with lyrics about living with ‘ghosts’ and believing they were ‘haunted.’ Until everything changed forever. “My Mama told me / It’s alright / you were dancing through the lightning strikes,” Swift sings. “Sleepless in the onyx night / But now the sky is opalite.”
3. ‘Eldest Daughter’
Some Swifties believe the lyrics explicitly refer to Kelce’s recent admission of not being able to meet the singer on her 2023 Kansas City Eras Tour date. Swift was still coming off her separation from The 1975’s frontman Matty Healy, about whom she penned numerous songs on her most recent album, “The Tortured Poets Department.”

4. ‘Wi$h Li$t’
This is about Taylor’s Wishlist, where starting a family with her beau is at the top. The lyrics give a nod to her new life as the duo get ready to tie the knot after getting engaged. “I just want you / Have a couple kids / Got the whole block looking like you / We tell the world to leave us the f–k alone … and they do.”
5. ‘Wood’
‘Wood’ gives a serious contrast to when Travis said that he didn’t want his meat all over social media on the Bussin’ Boys podcast. In what is likely her most filthy song to date, Swift sings about her “curse” of disastrous relationships being “broken” by, ahem, a “magic wand.”
6. ‘Honey’
Swift sings later on the album about someone providing a whole “different meaning” to the term “honey.” The song appears to be a direct allusion to Kelce, who has used loving nicknames such as “sweetie” and “my lady” while discussing his pop star fiancée.
