Haryana Police Takes THIS Action Against Content Featuring Badshah’s ‘Tateeree’ Track

Badshah’s ‘Tateeree’ song truly garnered everyone’s attention because of its lyrics and visuals, which many claimed were objectionable against women and minors. Later, the song was taken down while Badshah also apologised publicly for the same. Not just that, he also received a notice from the Haryana State Women’s Commission. Now, the Haryana police have taken action by removing the links from social media accounts that featured the song. Let’s dive in deep to know more.

Haryana Police Removes Links Involving ‘Tateeree’

According to a report by ANI, Haryana Police have made efforts to remove 857 links, including 154 videos from YouTube and 703 reels from Instagram. The police mentioned that the action followed a notice sent to social media platforms, as they were instructed to remove all the songs and versions that include the short clips and re-uploads. Ajay Singhal, Haryana Director General of Police, mentioned that content that undermines the dignity of women and minors will not be tolerated in the state. It was also mentioned that in such cases the social media account will be restricted or blocked, and repeat offenders will face consequences under legal provisions. Additionally, the report also mentioned that social media users have been warned against sharing or creating content featuring ‘Tateeree.’ The Director General of Police, Shibas Kabiraj, shared that strict legal action will be taken against the offenders.

Badshah’s Apology Video

As soon as ‘Tateeree’ received backlash on social media, Badshah shared a video online acknowledging outrage over the track. He clarified that he never intended to talk badly about any minor or a woman from Haryana. He stated that he is from the hip-hop genre where lyrics are used to compete and bring down the opponent. Tha rapper stated that his lyrics were never for any woman or child, nor will he ever do that. The musician made sure to say that he has always tried to take Haryana’s culture and language with him wherever he can and as much as he can. Badshah ended the video by apologising to the people who were hurt by his track, hoping that people would consider him a son of Haryana and forgive him.
