In recent news, popular Tamil actor Vijay’s wife, Sangeeta Sornalingam, has accused him of an extramarital affair with an unnamed actress. After 25 years of marriage, she has filed for divorce. Although the court papers do not mention any name, several fans and netizens are widely speculating that the actress in question could be Trisha Krishnan. The duo have worked together in many popular Tamil movies and their chemistry in Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi is loved and cherished by many. Fans loved watching them on screen but for a long time they didn’t appear in any movie together. Following which, many stories and dating rumours popped up.

Things took a great turn in 2023 when the duo came back together in the movie Leo and fans became super happy and excited.

As per reports, Sangeetha filed the petition in the Chengalpattu family court. She claimed that Vijay had an ongoing affair with a female actor. She said she learned about it in 2021 and that Vijay promised to stop, but it did not happen. This hurt her and caused massive pain. The court case is still going on, and no final decision has come yet. Neither Vijay nor Sangeetha has made any public comment so far.

For those of you who don’t know, the couple got married in August 1999 in both Hindu and Christian ways. They have two children, a son named Jason Sanjay and a daughter named Divya Saasha. Sangeetha rarely appeared at public events with Vijay over the years.
