Time and again, actresses have been on the receiving end of criticism for doing intimate scenes in films and shows. Miraculously, the actors manage to escape unscathed every time. The most recent example of this is Netflix’s Lust Stories 2, and the intimate scenes between Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma became the talk of the town. The actress also broke her no-kiss rule which she had strictly adhered to for the past 18 years. In a recent interview, Tamannaah opened up about people asking her what was the need to do such scenes, and sexist the comments were.

In a conversation with Barkha Dutt for Mojo Story, Tamannaah Bhatia opened up about the hate she got for doing intimate scenes with Vijay Varma in Lust Stories 2. Talking about the misogyny and sexism, the actress said that it was right in her face. She said that she did not expect this to be the case even in 2023 and that an actress is expected to have an answer for doing intimate scenes. Tamannaah also went on to talk about how when an actress does sex scenes, there is a personal attack on her.

Talking about how no one ever subjects a male actor to this, Tamannaaah Bhatia said that they become superstars after doing these scenes and when an actress does this, she becomes a bad character. She also went on to say that she never was able to wrap her head around this.
