Taiwanese Actress Sharon Hsu Shares Breast Cancer Journey After Major Surgery
Sharon Hsu is on her way to getting better after her cancer surgery.
Sharon Hsu, a Taiwanese actress and model, recently announced that she has undergone a double mastectomy and reconstruction following a terrifying breast cancer diagnosis. Agreeing to undergo the surgery after consulting a specialist, Hsu’s team has said that the actor is in recovery following her operation. Taiwanese Actress Sharon Hsu Out After Double Mastectomy And Reconstructive Surgery
Reportedly, Sharon Hsu’s doctors first located a tumour in either September or October 2025. This was during a routine health check-up, and she was later admitted to Linkou’s Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for further testing. Afterwards, a biopsy was conducted on this tumour.
Despite being suspected to be a Stage 0 tumour, it turned out to be Stage 1 breast cancer. Later, three other benign tumours were also located in the other breast. This prompted the Taiwanese actress’ doctors to suggest a double mastectomy. This means that both her breasts would be completely removed to prevent the cancer from recurring. Sharon Hsu opted to follow this up with a reconstructive surgery to restore the look of her bosom.
The Jojo’s World actress’ team has recently made an announcement post her surgery. According to them, the mastectomy and reconstruction were a success. Now, Sharon Hsu will be focusing on post-operative care and recovery.
Her husband, actor Edison Wang, apparently was emotional after seeing his wife’s scars post surgery. The actress took to Instagram to candidly mention her mastectomy and breast implant reconstruction. Fans were thrilled to see that the actress was doing well.
