Celebrities and their kids are deprived of a personal life. With inquisitive fans, curious media and paparazzi cross boundaries and might take harsh steps to get a slice of their personal lives. Narrating a similar incident, popular paparazzo Varinder Chawla revealed the horrors of obsessive media coverage around Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s son–Taimur.
The couple’s eldest son has been a media favourite since his birth in December 2016. From going out on a play date to rushing for a boxing class, every detail about Taimur’s personal life was often flashed on our screens. In Conversation with Ishan’s YouTube channel, Varinder recalled this one horrid incident that made him realise a lot of things. Chawla mentioned how it was back when Taimur was heading for a tuition class and was chased by a group of 50 photographers on a bike, trying to get a glimpse of him.

He remembered the situation and said–”Taimur was on his way to tuition, and I noticed there were 40-50 people on bikes following him. Main bhi tha and I wondered– ‘Where did these 50 people come from?’ Someone told me, ‘Aage tamasha dekhiye (Look at the scene).’ Some climbed onto the gates, and others surrounded his car as if they were going to attack him.” He further revealed how this incident scared Taimur’s nanny and the photographers also got a call from Saif Ali Khan, requesting them to maintain a certain boundary.
Chawla mentioned that it was then, that he realised how unethical it is and media should maintain some distance. Since then, photographers requested their children’s boundaries and set a limit. For the unversed, Kareena and Saif welcomed Taimur in 2016 and later gave birth to their younger son Jeh Ali Khan in 2021.
