SHINee’s Taemin has signed on with a new agency, Galaxy Corporation. The label boasts a remarkable lineup of artists, including G-Dragon. This announcement comes on the heels of his contract with BPM Entertainment coming to an end. Fans are in two minds about this new development in the K-pop idol’s career, but hope he reaches new avenues of success with this move. Read on to find out more about the agency’s official statement.
SHINee’s Taemin Is Now An Artist With Galaxy Corp.
Touted as the first of its kind “AI entertainment” company based in South Korea, Galaxy Corporation was established in 2019. Attempting to combine “virtual and reality,” it wishes to be an “entertech” agency that brings together “IP, media, and technology.”
On March 11, 2026, rumours that Taemin would join Galaxy Corp. started floating. Later the same day, the agency confirmed that the ‘Advice’ singer had signed an “exclusive” contract. In its statement, Galaxy said that it would offer “full support” to blend the singer’s unique creative abilities with its “cutting-edge technology.”
Reports say that Taemin ensured his staff and manager would move with him. He wanted to continue with people from Big Planet Made (BPM) despite moving to terminate his contract.
Fans were divided about this new move in the K-pop idol’s career. While many were excited about this, some were concerned because Galaxy is an AI company that would presumably use it in Taemin’s music.
However, other fans were extremely pleased to have G-Dragon and Taemin in the same company. The former YG Entertainment and SM Entertainment singers signing with the same agency astonished many, but for good reason.
