As we all know, Bollywood is facing lots of trouble after people have started the ‘boycott’ trend on the internet and seems like it is not going to end any time soon which is bad news. If you are a cinema lover, then you should know that Taapsee Pannu’s films are making headlines these days. And the latest news is that a complaint has been filed against Taapsee Pannu’s Shabaash Mithu for alleged demeaning remarks about specially-abled people.
A complaint was filed against Taapsee Pannu starrer Shabaash Mithu, which is a biographical sports drama based on the life of former captain of the Indian women’s national cricket team, Mithali Raj and Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Laal Singh Chaddha for alleged demeaning remarks about differently-abled people. The co-founder of Doctors with Disabilities – Dr Satendra Singh filed the complaint against these two films and he also suffers from 70 per cent locomotor disability.
According to the reports, Dr Satendra Singh alleged in his complaint that Shabaash Mithu and Laal Singh Chaddha have violated the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 through demeaning remarks against specially-abled people as they have used the words langde and langdi in both the films.

He reportedly shared a copy of the notice issued by the court of commissioner for persons with disabilities on his complaint, but the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment did not provide any confirmation regarding it. The court of commissioner has sought comments from the directors of the films and the Union Information and Broadcasting Ministry on the notice. The makers have to submit their responses within 30 days.
