Bollywood actor Taapsee Pannu married her longtime partner, Mathias Boe, a Danish badminton player, in a private ceremony away from the public eye. In a recent chat, she opened up about the decision and said she didn’t see a reason to make a formal announcement about the wedding or release pictures and videos from the celebrations. She further added that she did not want her husband to face any public scrutiny.

Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe had a court marriage in December 2023 and later had an intimate ceremony in March 2024 in Udaipur. The event was attended by their close friends and family members, and the two decided to keep it private and did not release details about it. And during a recent chat with Nayandeep Rakshit on his YouTube channel, she explained that she always wanted to draw a boundary between her personal and professional life. The actor said that she wasn’t embarrassed to release details about her private life, but refrained from making announcements, and she felt weird about posting a press note or a deck of pictures and videos.
But even after the couple’s best efforts to keep their wedding private, a clip from their wedding surfaced online in April 2024. It showed Taapee making her bridal entry and some parts of the varmala ceremony. In the same clip, she was seen in a red lehenga while her husband Mathias was seen in an ivory sherwani. Speaking about the leaked clip, she said that it was embarrassing and that it is only done by people who are invited by your parents, not by them. She said that not everyone got the brief that they had issued for the guests attending their wedding.
