Taapsee Pannu Reveals Actresses Are Asked To Wear Padded Bras In South Films!

Taapsee Pannu once again spoke in an unfiltered manner about a rather important subject. She spoke about how female actors are asked to cater to certain onscreen demands, including being objectified. Taapsee shared that while many South Indian films tend to focus on the navel and breast area, on the other hand, the Hindi films try to emphasise their visual framing on a woman’s cleavage. Know what she stated exactly.

Taapsee Pannu On Actresses Being Objectified

During her conversation with Subhankar Mishra. Taapsee Pannu stated that in the South, actresses are asked to wear a padded bra. Then the problem occurs as to who the director should convey this to, as mostly only one or two women are present on the set. She added that the director tells this to the assistant director, who then conveys it to the styling team or the female member of the hair team, and at the end, the message reaches the actress. Taapsee further asked to think about how embarrassing it would be on a set during a song’s shoot where someone has to get up and leave in the middle as everyone watches and reflects on what difference it made. The actress also mentioned that after that, they say they can’t see any difference and the actress is asked to go back and change again. The Pink Star expressed that the filmmakers usually try to focus on specific physical aspects on screen because of the belief that it caters to the audience’s fantasies and visual appeal.
