Donald Trump’s White House Chief of Staff, Steven Cheung, stepped into the heated debate about American Eagle’s Jeans campaign starring Sydney Sweeney and gave his two cents on the matter. Cheung dismissed the backlash by saying that this is just another example of cancel culture. He said that this type of criticism is the exact reason why Donald Trump won the elections in 2024, as the American people are tired of cancel culture.

Doja Cat also reacted to Sydney Sweeney’s ad by mocking the viral gene puns. On Tuesday, the rapper and singer made a TikTok mocking Sweeney’s dialogue. She twisted the final word into ‘blee,’ highlighting the ad’s clumsy wordplay. While some fans praised Doja Cat and said that they missed this sassy side of the ‘Say So’ singer. Others criticised her for making fun of Sydney Sweeney when she herself has done questionable things in the past.

Elon Musk’s Meme
Elon Musk’s company Tesla also pitched in, sharing a video showing a robot seated on car seats while apparently examining dye transfer from dark denim. The caption of the post read, “Our seats robot also has great jeans.” In response to one commentator of the post, the accounts said that the robot’s name is ‘Seatney.’ Musk then reposted the video and added, “Testing rubbing jeans on our seats.”
