Swara Bhaskar Says Aishwarya Rai’s Answer To Body-Shaming After Aaradhya’s Birth Stayed With Her

Society never fails a chance to question a woman’s decisions and constantly scrutinises, judges, and even ridicules their dreams and desires. But their main hobby of ridiculing and judging a woman’s body never gets old. Strikingly, women are even body-shamed after childbirth which is ridiculous, to say the least. Whether they shed the extra pounds or return to work rapidly, women like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Alia Bhatt are constantly shamed for their decisions. In recent updates, Swara Bhaskar also compared her experience to this and expressed her opinions.

Swara Bhaskar On Body Shaming After Childbirth

Bollywood actor Swara Bhaskar isn’t estranged from body shaming. She has been dealing with it since she gave birth to her daughter in 2023. Speaking about the unfair comments, Bhaskar drew parallels with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s experience after giving birth to her daughter. She pointed out that if a universally acclaimed woman like her wasn’t spared by the harsh judgements, how would she expect to escape it?

Swara said, “Really unflattering pictures of her were taken, seemingly deliberately, and published everywhere. I remember watching an interview and the grace with which she’d handled all that. A less gracious person would have been angry.” She narrated an incident where an interviewer even asked Aishwarya why she wasn’t getting into shape like others which is just sick.

The Veere Di Wedding actor expressed that Rai’s answer to the interviewer saying that she was living her real life with her baby stayed with her. Women everywhere in the world suffer through the harsh judgements of the world and get blamed for every decision they make. Women like Swara Bhaskar call such behaviour out as all we need in the world to make it a better one for us to live peacefully.
