From 14-Day Judicial Custody To Plea, Latest Updates On Chaitanyananda’s  S*xual Harassment Case!

Another absolutely bone-chilling harassment case on the self-proclaimed Godman Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati made headlines a few days back. Many women from the Delhi Ashram, where he was a head, accused him of sending them lewd texts. After a thorough search, the police have arrested Chaitanyananda, and he was presented before the court as well. Here are some latest updates on the shocking case.

14-Day Judicial Custody

As per the news reports, the Delhi Court sent the accused to a 14-day judicial custody, to Tihar Jail. This order came on Friday, October 3, as per an ANI report.

Chaitanyananda’ Plea

In response to the order, Swami Chaitanyananda submitted a plea in the court where he requested for the supply of his medicines, Sanatani food, and monk dress, as per the reports. However, his plea has been currently put on hold and it will be heard on October 8.

Did He Run Away?

As per earlier reports, the accused also absconded after the accusations on August 4 which came from the Indian Air Force headquarters. Police finally traced his whereabouts and arrested him from a hotel in Agra, as per the NDTV report.

Accusations

Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Partha Swamy has been accused of many serious allegations. He has been accused of forcing girls to accept his sexual advances by threatening to fail them in the exams. He also sent the girls cheat texts and ask them to meet him in private.

During the investigation, the police also found fake documents of Chaitanyananda’s association with BRICS and United Nations. His account worth 8 crores was also freezed by the police, as per the reports.
