The rumour was soon debunked by both Kim Byung Hoon’s company, APR and Management SOOP. Both agencies confirmed that there was no truth to the claims. After the denial of the news, some netizens speculated that the gossip jjiranshi may have been planted intentionally. As many noticed that articles about APR’s rising market cap and CEO Kim Byung Hoon’s recent achievements surfaced suspiciously close to the marriage rumours.

Many fans of Suzy took to social media platforms to defend her. Many bluntly stated that the CEO was not her type, while others reminded that Suzy has built her own fortune and does not need to marry rich.
