Sushmita Sen, the former Miss Universe and celebrated Bollywood actor, has always been open about her views on love, relationships, and marriage. Recently, she sparked curiosity among fans when she addressed the topic of her wedding plans during an Instagram live session.
The conversation began when a fan asked whether she was planning to get married. Sen, known for her independent and outspoken nature, responded candidly.
Sushmita Sen On Marriage Plans
Sushmita Sen emphasized that while she is open to the idea of marriage, it isn’t something that happens impulsively. “I want to get married as well. But there should be someone worthy of marriage, right? Marriage doesn’t just happen like that. As they say in a very romantic way, it’s a bond of the heart. The feeling should reach the heart, right? Then I’ll get married too,” she remarked.
Her response has reignited discussions about her past relationships and whether she has someone special in her life at the moment. Over the years, Sen has been linked to several high-profile individuals. She was in a relationship with model-actor Rohman Shawl for three years before they amicably parted ways in 2021. However, they have maintained a close friendship and are often seen together at social events.
In 2022, Sushmita made headlines when IPL founder Lalit Modi referred to her as his “better half” on social media, sharing vacation pictures and expressing his admiration for her. The announcement led to widespread speculation about their relationship. However, the buzz was short-lived as Modi later removed references to her from his Instagram bio, signalling their separation. Addressing the matter in a 2023 interview, Sen called it “just another phase” of her life, neither confirming nor denying the depth of their relationship.
Currently, Sushmita Sen appears focused on her personal growth and professional commitments. She was last seen in the critically acclaimed web series Taali (2023), where she portrayed transgender activist Gauri Sawant. While marriage may be on her mind, it seems that for Sen, the right connection remains paramount before taking the plunge.
