Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Bombay HC Orders NCB To Return Rhea Chakraborty’s Passport, Says No Reason To Doubt!

The Sushant Singh Rajput case has been going on for years now, and recently, there were some developments in the case too. Rhea Chakraborty, who was arrested in the case in 2020, was recently given relief in the proceedings. The actor had also applied to request some ease on one of the bail conditions. The Bombay High Court has considered the request and, as ordered, NCB is to give Rhea Chakraborty her passport back. Read on to know more about it.
Rhea Chakraborty’s Plea
Rhea Chakraborty had to submit her passport to the Narcotics Bureau as one of the bail conditions. However, as per an Indian Express report, Rhea submitted a request to the HC, in which she explained the need to have a passport for her professional work. In the request submitted by advocate Ayaz Khan, the actor explained that her work demands a lot of frequent travels of shoots, auditions and more, and not having a passport hampered her work. Her advocate also stated that the actor had followed all the bail condition and had never violated any court orders.
The hearing headed by Justice Neela Gokhale stated that there was no reason to doubt the actor as she had never broken any of bail conditions before. The court also observed that the actor has been present for all the trials as well. In the statement, the Bombay HC granted permission to Rhea Chakraborty and stated that such relief were given in other cases too. However, the court has also asked the actor to submit the itinerary before the travel, and also attend all the trials until she was excused by the court.

The NCB has been asked to return Rhea her passport.

For the unversed, CBI had stated no foul play in the SSR case.
