Border 2, featuring Bollywood veteran Sunny Deol, is one of the most anticipated films of 2026. The film has a massive cast of Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty, and Diljeet Dosanjh. However, while the film is earning national recognition, reports suggest that it won’t be released in Gulf countries due to its theme, just like Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. Border 2 Banned In Gulf Countries
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, countries like Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE will ban Sunny Deol’s Border 2 from releasing. It’s a given that the film would not get released due to its ‘anti-Pakistan’ theme. The report said, “Yet, the team of Border 2 did make an attempt, and sadly, their attempts proved futile. One day is left for release, and the hope is still there that they pass the film, though the possibility seems remote.”
The source also told the publication that just like this, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar was also not allowed to release in the same region. However, the makers of the upcoming film are not bothered about that and were secure about the film reaching great heights if it manages to strike a chord with the audience. Even Dhurandhar broke many records despite the no-release thing in the UAE/ GCC belt.
