After Sunjay Kapur’s sudden and unfortunate demise, a lot of drama unfolded in the family related to his vast estate. As per the latest reports on the same, his wife Priya Kapur has filed a defamation case against his sister Mandhira Kapur for alleged spreading fake rumours about her. Now the latter has reacted to the case and in her statement, she has refused to admit to saying any lies. Read here for more about it.
Sunjay Kapur’s Sister Reacts
As per a Bar And Bench report, Priya Kapur filed a criminal defamation against Sunjay Kapur’s sister Mandhira Kapur. In this, she alleged that Mandhira made many videos and posts on platforms like YouTube, X and Instagram to make false allegations and claims about Priya Kapur with intentions of damaging her reputation and causing hatred. The complaint also states that in a podcast Mandhira Kapur claimed Priya and Sunjay Kapur had a troubled marriage.
Now, as per Mandhira Kapur’s statements to HT City, she has dismissed Priya Kapur’s allegations that anything she said was lies. She firmly said that the statements were also recorded in court, and reiterated that she had not lied about anything. In her statement, she also clarified about not receiving any official notice related to the defamation, and said it was funny that media got to know about it before. Mandhira Kapur also called it ‘tactics’ to keep her distracted from whatever was happening.

On the other hand, Karisma Kapoor’s children are also fighting a legal battle for their share in Sunjay Kapur’s estate. The late businessman’s mother had also made some strong allegations against Priya Kapur.
