In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Ssunita Ahuja talked about how everyone messes up when they’re young. She admitted she had done it too, just like Govinda did back then. But as people get older, those mistakes start to feel out of place. “Why make such mistakes when you have a beautiful family?” she added.
Ssunita Ahuja shared that she and Govinda see things in different ways. She credits her kids for keeping her going during difficult times. Earlier she wanted her children to only love her but they proved her wrong. For example, her daughter Tina always chose Govinda in little games. But Tina also backs up her mother too.
She further talked about how being married to a superstar like Govinda came with its own battles. The actor spent hours on sets surrounded by heroines, far more than at home with her. Over 38 years together, she learnt to become strong-headed.
Lastly, when the interviewer asked if she’d choose Govinda as her partner in the next life, Ssunita Ahuja didn’t hesitate. She straightaway said no and made it clear that the actor is a wonderful son and sibling. However, as a husband, Govinda fell short. Instead, she said that he’d make a better son next time around.
For the unversed, Govinda and Ssunita Ahuja tied the knot in 1987. It was a secret and they revealed it after they welcomed their daughter Tina in 1988.
