Sulli’s Brother Faces Extreme Backlash For Including Charlie Kirk In Her Death Anniversary Post

On October 14, on Sulli’s sixth death anniversary, her brother uploaded an Instagram post remembering his late sister. The caption of the post read, “I believe that loving means enduring one’s own unhappiness. I honour the memorial day of my beloved sister and the birthdate of Charlie Kirk, a young man who deeply loved America. The post immediately went viral across social media. People criticised her brother’s decision to add Charlie Kirk in Sulli’s death anniversary post due to his radical views on feminism and abortion. Sulli was an outspoken supporter of women’s rights and often stood up against misogynistic ideology. So, putting a picture of Charlie Kirke next to hers comes across as demeaning and disrespectful.

Not to mention the widespread hate that the late singer received was mainly due to her activism as an outspoken feminist. Charlie Kirk was a controversial American activist who held extremely regressive views on women and their role in society.

Fans and netizens flocked to Sulli’s brother’s Instagram to condemn his post. They wrote things like ‘Rest in peace Sulli, you deserved a better family,’ and asked him to stop associating his sister with his controversial political beliefs.
