Shraddha Kapoor Drops Spooky Video To Announce Stree 2 Filming, Fans Say “Oo Stree Jaldi Aana”
Finally, the sequel we all were waiting for!
The way the 2018 horror-comedy Stree ended left many people asking if there’s a part two going to be made. Starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi Aparshakti Khurrana and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead, Stree went on to be a huge hit at the box office. Finally giving a definitive answer to the audience, Shraddha took to her Instagram to announce the good news that filming for Stree 2 has begun! Needless to say, fans were super excited about this announcement.

The short clip that Shraddha Kapoor shared features Vijay Raaz’s voiceover which repeated the popular dialogue from its first part, “Oye street kala aana!” The video also went on to show how Stree’s responsibility is to protect everyone now. Furthermore, the clip also gave us a peek into what the storyline of the film will be as you can see Stree holding the head of a man in her hands.

In the caption of the post, Shraddha Kapoor wrote that there will be terror once again in Chanderi. She also wrote that the shooting of Stree 2 has begun. Looks like the cast of the film is going to remain the same as the Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar actress had tagged Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj ji and Abhishek in the caption as well.
The film will receive a theatrical release in August 2023. It is directed by Stree part 1 directed by Amar Kaushik and written by Niren Bhatt. Shraddha’s fans rushed to comment on the post! One of them asked her to shoot BTS from the film while another wrote, “Oye Stree jaldi aana!”

Given how the first part ended, fans can expect a more powerful and empowered Stree to come and haunt the men who must have wronged her. Hopefully, Stree 2 will also solve the mystery if Shraddha Kapoor is Stree herself or a darker force in the plot.
