When asked about the fan theory, Hwang Dong-hyuk said that since the voice of a baby crying is heard, people can expect to see one in the upcoming season. He goes on to say that the baby plays an important role in season 3, not just for its parents but for all the players. The creator teased by saying that more intense plot points are present in the new season as the show hits its grand finale. It will only be more interesting to see what role the baby’s birth play in the plot line.
Squid Game season 3 will be released on 27 June on Netflix. The cast of season 2 is coming back to reprise their roles. The plot will pick up from where the previous season left off.
