Ever since its release, Squid Game seasons 2 and 3 have come under multiple controversies. Surprisingly, most of the backlash towards the show has been caused by the cast. From questionable behaviour in the past to posting inappropriate pictures on their social media accounts, there have been multiple incidents where the show has made headlines for the wrong reasons. Just today, another cast member, Lee Sung Woo, came under fire after he posted explicit fan art of his Squid Game character on Instagram. Read on to know more.
Squid Game Actor Lee Sung Woo Under Fire For Posting NSFW Art On Instagram
Lee Sung Woo, who plays Player 226 in seasons 2 and 3 of Squid Game, shared an NSFW drawing of his character on his Instagram story. The image contained graphic s*xual content that netizens quickly labelled as porn. After some time, the actor deleted that post without any explanation.
However, the picture was left on his Instagram long enough for it to go viral on social media. The reaction to Lee Sung Woo’s explicit picture was immediate. While some fans laughed it off, many were shocked. Several argued that the picture was fan art, and he uploaded it out of appreciation; others felt that such adult content should not be uploaded on Instagram, where an audience of all ages has access to Sung Woo’s account.
Interestingly, this is not the first time a Squid Game actor has been involved in a controversy over sharing inappropriate content. Park Sung Hoon, who played Choi Hyun-ju, also known as Player 120 in the show, made headlines for sharing the cover of a porn parody of Squid Game.
The post that he posted on his Instagram story featured s*xual violence and was condemned by many users on the internet. The actor later said that he had uploaded the image by mistake. He then publicly apologised for his actions.
