After Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, it was clear that the animated sphere of Spider-Verse movies was all set to take over with an unexpected but certain superiority. This Oscar-winning movie was a proper masterpiece that undoubtedly left us craving for more and we were all ready with our theories about what might happen next but now that the trailer for the sequel, Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is here, it’s safe to say that it has blown all our minds. Nobody could’ve expected such a big, beautiful and interesting leap with so many versions of Spider-Man including Spider-Man India. The directors Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson as well as the talented writers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and David Callaham, have nailed it this time because the trailer looks like magic. If you don’t think that this is the coolest, most exciting, exhilarating and unexpected trailer that the creators could have ever delivered, I’m sorry but we cannot be friends, anymore.

As a big fan of the first movie, I believe that Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is without a spectre of a doubt, going to deliver on the promise and expectations that the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse as well as Spider-Man: No Way Home has left us with. Much like the first movie, this part is going to be based on Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), on his journey towards being one of the universe’s greatest heroes.

If you remember the last scene of the first movie, Miles had managed to close down the inter-dimensional rift with the help of others but at the last possible minute, we heard Gwen’s voice, calling out to Miles from the multiverse. This had left us all tossing and turning about what this could’ve possibly meant and the trailer has finally brought us some much-awaited answers. It looks like Gwen is going to be taking Miles’ help to solve another unexpected inter-dimensional crisis as she drags him to a spider-people city in the centre of the multiverse.

It’s clear that Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse is going to be leading Miles into a crazy multiverse adventure as he crosses the boundaries of time and space. The movie also introduces him to hundreds of unexpected and crazy versions of himself, just walking around in this spider-people city so, the movie is literally full of unexpected cameos like Spider-Woman, a purple and black Spider-Person, Gwen-Spider and basically every possible spider-person you can possibly come up with. Also, to the delight of comic fans, reports of ‘Spider-Man India’ or as the Comic Book readers know him, ‘Pavitr Prabhakar’ is also set to be a part of the movie. This means that some scenes of the movie could also be set in India. Multiple versions of the concept art for the same have flooded the internet and have made both, avid comic book readers and Indian fans, even more excited!

I am also excited to see Issa-Rae’s Spider-Woman and of course, Miguel O’Hara, also known as Spider-Man 2099. His character’s going to be voiced by Oscar Isaac and he looks like one of the most brutal versions of Spider-Man. I literally cannot express my excitement about this movie without screaming out loud. Can you?
