Another one to join the list is Rowoon, from Extraordinary You, who is set to enlist in South Korea’s mandatory military service. According to recent reports, he will begin his duty in July 2025. South Korean Actor Rowoon To Miss The Murky Stream Promotions Due To Military Enlistment
As per Naver.com, on July 21, Rowoon will enter a military training camp. After completing basic training, he will be assigned to a unit and serve as an active-duty soldier. His service is expected to last 18 months, with a tentative discharge date of January 21, 2027. It simply means that he will be away from the spotlight for a while. Fans have taken to social media to express both pride and disappointment over his absence from upcoming projects.
His upcoming Disney+ drama, The Murky Stream, premieres in September, but Rowoon may miss its promotions. The Murky Stream is a historical drama which is set to premiere on Disney+ in September 2025. The series follows the lives of three characters in a lawless Joseon era. Rowoon plays Si Yool, Shin Ye Eun stars as Choi Eun, while Park Seo Ham plays Jeong Cheon. It is directed by Choo Chang Min and written by Cheon Sung Il. Fans are feeling bittersweet. Some are feeling sad, whereas others are already counting the days until his discharge.
