South Actor Balakrishna Fans Behead Goat To Celebrate Daaku Maharaaj Release. This Is So Cruel!

A disturbing incident unfolded in Tirupati as fans of South actor Balakrishna carried out a shocking act of animal cruelty to celebrate the release of his film, Daaku Maharaaj. Outside Pratap movie theatre in Tata Nagar, a group of individuals publicly beheaded a goat as part of a ritualistic celebration, drawing widespread condemnation.

The act, performed in full public view, was captured on video. The footage shows the men surrounding a terrified goat and slaughtering it with a machete. They then smeared the goat’s blood on the film’s poster. This barbaric display led to outrage from witnesses and animal rights groups, prompting swift action from the authorities.

The Tirupati police, in collaboration with PETA India, registered an FIR against five individuals involved in the incident. The charges include violations of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, the Andhra Pradesh Animals and Birds Sacrifices (Prohibition) Act of 1950, and sections under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Officials emphasized that such acts of animal cruelty not only violate laws but also deeply disturb public order and sensibilities.

Animal rights organizations, including PETA India, have strongly condemned the incident. They highlighted that sacrificing animals in public or for religious or celebratory purposes is prohibited under various state laws. They also pointed out that the Supreme Court permits animal slaughter only in licensed facilities that follow strict guidelines to ensure humane treatment. This incident has once again raised concerns about unchecked fan behavior, particularly in South India, where large-scale celebrations often accompany film releases. While Balakrishna’s film has been eagerly anticipated for its action-packed storyline, such acts of cruelty cast a shadow over the excitement.
